How do I add my email account to Entourage (Mac)?

To add an email account to Entourage v11 please follow the below steps:

- Open Entourage and click on ‘Tools’ and then ‘Accounts’.
- Click on ‘New’.
- Enter your name and click the right arrow.
- Choose ‘I already have an email address’, type in the email address and click the right arrow.
- Enter your account ID username@domainname.com, your password, your incoming and outgoing mail server and click the right arrow. If you are unable to connect to the smtp server, your ISP may be blocking port 25 from 3rd party use, contact your ISP if this occurs.
- Make up any name for the account and click ‘Finish’.
- Click on ‘Edit’ button to open email ‘Account Settings’ and select ‘Advanced Sending Options’.
- Check the box that says ‘SMTP server requires authentication’ and close the box.
- Click ‘OK’ to finish.

How do I renew my domain?

Your domain will automatically be renewed with Hosted Twice as long as you have an active account in our billing center. You can access your account to view your renewal date at http://hostedtwice.com/secure

Where do I upload my files?

All files and folders should be uploaded to the public_html directory.

The public_html folder can be accessed either by FTP or via ‘File Manager’ under ‘Site Management’ in cPanel.

To access your hosting account via FTP connect to www.YOURDOMAIN.com

Be sure to create an index file for your home page, this can be index.htm, index.html, index.php, etc.

Please note our Linux servers are case sensitive so index.htm and Index.htm are two separate files. Index.htm will not be recognized as the default first page. It must be index.htm (.html, .php, etc.) in lowercase.

What is an addon domain?

An addon domain is a separate domain that is hosted on your primary domain but it appears as if it is hosted on it’s own account. If you were toaddon ”newdomain.com”, a user browsing to your site will see “newdomain.com” in the URL, but it will be redirecting it to a specific folder under your primary domain.

Firstly please ensure that the name servers are pointing to:

Login to your cPanel account and select ‘Addon Domains’ under the ‘Domains’ menu.

Complete the form as follows:

New Domain Name: the domain you wish to add
Subdomain/FTP Username: Whatever you put in the this field will be the folder that is created under your primary account. It will also be the default username for mail and FTP.
Password: your password

The change in nameservers may take up to 48 hours.

How many emails can I send an hour ?

Hosted Twice’s shared servers allow an account to send a total of 200 emails per hour. If you need to send more then that per hour please contact our support team for suggestions or solutions.

How can I manage the spam I am receiving?

Host Twice offers Spam Assassin  through cPanel. SpamAssassin is an automated email filtering system that attempts to identify spam messages based on the content of the email’s headers and body.You can enable SpamAssasin through your cPanel account under the ’Email Mangement’ menu.

Why can I not send e-mails?

If you are having difficulty sending e-mails using a program such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Apple Mail or Thunderbird, please check the following:

- Is your ISP (Internet Service Provider) blocking external SMTP servers from being used when you are on their network? Contact your ISP and ask them what SMTP server you should be using.
- Ensure that you have your SMTP server setup correctly. The server will be your domain name. You also need to check that you have it setup to authenticate with your mailbox username and password.

How do I get my EPP authorization code?

Your EPP authorization code will give you the ability to manage your domain, update your email address, update your DNS server settings and update your Whois information. You will also receive the authorization key and your domain will be unlocked which allows you to transfer your domain to another registrar before your renewal date next year.

To receive your code please email us and state your request. A domain cannot be unblocked or transferred to another registrar within 60 days of registration so you must wait until the domain is over 60 days old before you email us. Giving you this type of access means that we will not renew your domain for you, you must transfer it to your own registrar before its renew date.

How do I change my primary account domain?

If you’d like to change your primary account domain name, please complete a ticket and send it to our Customer/Technical Support Department or e-mail us.

How long does it take for my DNS to resolve?

It can take as little as 1 hour for your DNS to resolve, however, we state between 24-48 hours for a domain to fully propagate.
